About Niki Lopez Presents:

NikiLopezPresents_curatingthecuriousNiki Lopez, avant-garde curator to the curious, cultural programmer, and interactive visual artist, shares her perspective with the South Florida art world and beyond. Her medium is culture itself, lending to activism and making space for altruism.

As a Sistrunk Artist in Residence, Niki Lopez has curated targeted events like Femininus, a group art showcase of South Florida women artists highlighting our visual narratives and exploring how each artist uses her medium to convey commentary, from paint to dance.
With Femininus, an event exhibiting women artists’ stories for Women’s History Month, Niki curated every moment inside the space to tell a coherent story – one honoring the lives and narratives of women amid our struggles.

Niki Lopez makes impact as a cultural programmer for underrepresented voices. She connects with projects, like SWAN Day, an international holiday designed to Support Women Artists Now because it showcases “the power and diversity of women’s creativity.”

Lopez’s approach to her project is with an innovative, collaborative attitude. Focused on working with fellow local artists, performers and connecting communities as much as possible.

She makes space for our narratives beyond their subjectivity. She understands how to leverage social media for exposure, creating networks between artists and their supporters, and injecting enthusiasm and demand for their work into our public consciousness.

Niki Lopez uses her personal experience and powerful perspective to bring a movement to life, combining visual, interactive, and performance art with creative community building, workshops, and ongoing curated events. Her seminal human experience project, What’s Your Elephant, applies art to provocative conversations around the unspoken “elephant in the room,” creating safe expressive spaces fostering dialog and awareness.

An award-winning graphic designer specializing in web design and social media management for entrepreneurs, artists, and small businesses, Niki Lopez, collaborator extraordinaire, is available for booking.
